WEDDINGS

If you are planning your wedding, one of the most romantic and visually inspiring of all traditions is the releasing of white doves. White doves have been an emblem of love for centuries on end because a mated pair stays together, faithful and true to each other. By releasing the pair of doves from a beautifully decorated heart-shaped wicker basket, the newlyweds proclaim their fidelity to each other.  As the doves are released after your wedding ceremony, your guests will be smiling with surprise as the rush of white wings lift these lovely birds into the air and create a lifetime of memories.

We have several different packages to accommodate all price levels and a variety of ceremonies. Our baskets are beautifully decorated with ribbons and foliage. We also have a collection of readings and packages that we'll customize to fit your special needs.

White doves symbolize the presence of spirit and the feeling of eternal peace for the loved one that has moved on from this life. Watching a white dove ascend to the sky often represents the soul being carried off to heaven. Customarily, the doves are released at the end of the graveside service. A flock of snow white doves are released from a special large basket, representing angels, and following them a “spirit” dove is released from a smaller heart shaped wicker basket to join the angelic flock to escort the spirit home. This expression of emotion and grief is often very healing for family and friends. There is a selection of beautiful poems and readings to accompany the release. We make every attempt to release our birds to make the moment very special to you. We are also concerned for the safety of our birds so the following guidelines will be followed:

• We release only well-trained, pure white doves. Our white doves have the strength and homing ability to find their way home quickly and safely.
• Each event will have an experienced release coordinator arrive early to ensure the doves and the presentation is displayed and handled in a professional manner.

We will not release our doves under the following conditions:

• Severe weather (thunderstorms and heavy rain).
• Indoors or under a canopy
• Overhead wires
• Sunset to Sunrise (this interfers with their homing instincts)

Depending upon the event, the more birds that are released the more beautiful the showing.

Some brides will have two doves which she and the groom will release followed by a large flock of white doves for a spectacular show.

We can be very flexible in the white dove releases we offer. If you have a certain number of white doves that you would like released representing something or “someone” who is special to you, perhaps loved ones who cannot be present for your ceremony, we will be more than happy to accommodate your wishes.
